It's always a treat to check on the girls before bed, Justin usually goes in first and then says, "Chandra, come look at them!"  And sometimes it's camera worthy...

Thirty, Thirty One

The day before my 31st birthday, Catharine thanked God in our dinner prayer for me turning 59 (no offense to those of you who are 59 or older...), so that was pretty fun.  I mean, who can be sad about turning 31 when your daughter mistakes it for 59??  Regardless, my birthday was sweet.  

I started my day opening a sweet present from my loves, and some pretty sweet cards.  Then skyped with my bff who lives across the globe, love me some skype!  We then met up with some friends at our local children's hands on museum (CHOM), and then lunch and CFA with more friends!

After we got Madelyn from school and skipped homework (who does homework on a birthday!??) we read for an hour before Justin came home.  A lil' shopping at Target and dinner at my favorite, Olive Garden (thanks to some generous folks who gave us an awesome gift card for Christmas?!)...my most favorite part was when the waitress brought a ginormous piece of chocolate cake and my precious family sang "Happy Birthday" to me :)  I'm the most blessed woman of all.

At the end of the day, I was thankful for all of the sweet notes from FB friends and cards in the mail.  I'm excited about starting a new year, as a 31 year old :)  I know God has big things in store!
