Y'all may remember this little darling making her grand dramatic entrance into this world causing us to hold our breath until she took her first. From the 21st week of my pregnancy with this girl, we prayed for some divine healing and intervention from the Lord, because the odds were not in her favor. God answered time and time again. Over her 5 and 1/2 years we've learned more and more about her, and as she's now started kindergarten, this momma is...hmm...how to word it correctly. I guess I would call myself alert. We've gotten doctor notes, we've talked with teachers (shout out to the BEST teacher EVER, Mrs. Jenne', not quite sure what I would do without you...), and we've talked with the school nurse. BUT, things happen. This Tuesday, we got a call that Catharine didn't feel well and had a low-grade fever. After some investigating, her teacher and I came to the conclusion that she got too hot in PE. She overdid it and had to get picked up from school. She doesn't sweat and just a simple indoor activity can mean that she will overheat and her entire day will be ruined. Can you imagine?
I'm just not sure how to pray?! Ever been there? How great would it be for the Lord to heal her of this disorder?! But, we know that sometimes He allows hardships for reasons that we cannot always see. I would love to take her out of PE and put her in the library, but I don't want her to be that kid. I want her to live her life, like everyone else. We're coping. She's coping.
Many of you love her and have walked through a lot of her life with us. Would you pray for her and us and her teachers?
Thanks, friends. God is good. We praise Him for her precious life. To Him be the glory!
