One night in Atlanta

In the past 8 1/2 years, Justin and I have been away together without children for our honeymoon only, also,  I have never been to a Braves game.  Justin's parents and Mema helped with the girls, and Friday morning early, we were on our way to Atlanta!  We started our time in Atlanta with a trip to Trader Joe's!  Though it made me sad looking at all the awesome food options because we don't have access to TJ's in our state, we did pick out some great things to take home.  We got to meet some very precious friends from seminary at a famous restaurant called The Varsity--the largest drive-in in the country!  Davin and Alisia live close to Atlanta so they knew where to eat :)  Our time with them was awesome, as usual...and when we were done with lunch, Justin and I headed off to IKEA.  IKEA could easily be an all day event, but we packed it into a couple of hours.  It was great and gave us lots of ideas for home projects.

We checked into our hotel and got ready for the game, then decided to WALK, yes, WALK to the stadium.  It was hot, long, and totally worth saving $12 for a taxi to take us the almost 2 miles.  The game was great---3 home runs and a win!  We ate stadium food, unhealthy, but fun.  Best of all, we were together without littles!

One night away gives you an intense craving for a longer vacation.  Our hope is to go on a cruise after Justin finishes his seminary classes.  Hooray for being married to my best friend and for the fun we have together.
