Catharine's rash

We had another fun medical mystery with Catharine pop up yesterday. She woke up covered in a scary rash. It reminded me of the one she had in January that the doctor called Erythema Multiforme. Catharine has been sick for over three weeks with horrible respiratory problems related to her asthma, so this was the final issue that took us in to the pediatrician (we try to avoid this as much as possible). He said she had urticaria, an allergic reaction to a virus. He put her on a steroid (Orapred) and Atarax for the rash (which will also help clear up some excema. She was so itchy and miserable. She woke up today cleared up from the rash and already feeling better! We are so glad. She is pitiful when she is sick. She hates her breathing treatments that we have to do twice a day when she is wheezing, so getting her well is going to be a wonderful thing! To see the rash you may need to click on the picture to make it bigger. When I first noticed it.
Looked like continents on her legs.
Before we went to the doctor she wasn't as swollen.
Swollen knee, white lines puffed up.
See the white rings? See her swollen ankles?
