In this country, it is very difficult to do almost everything it seems. It took about a week and a lot of leg work for us to buy a scooter. Justin had to gather many documents, including some hard ones, like our Landlord's voter registration card, an affidavit from the courts (had to be "notarized") and many others. Our Landlord had to help us in many ways by calling the dealership and vouching for us, blah blah blah. Justin had to travel to a city an hour away (where the scooter was) twice before actually riding it home last night. It was a learning experience, and thankfully ended positively. Sometimes, these learning experiences do not end positively :)
A scooter in our city means freedom. While it is a small city, we live on the side of town where it is harder to get some things. Now, Justin can hop on the scooter and go to the other side to pick up various items and such. Also, we can travel as a family to the main market and shops. This will be so wonderful. Come May, Justin will be traveling with a friend into the mountains to seek out national believers. They will both have scooters and will be going into remote locations, so without a scooter this would be extremely difficult.
We are eternally grateful for the folks back home who God used to make buying this scooter possible. You know who you are, and to you we say "thank you!" God is using you to reach people in South Asia!
