Catharine is still coughing a lot. Her breathing gets better after a nebulizer treatment, but deteriorates well before the next breathing treatment is due. Dr. Dirk put her on a steroid and antibiotic which would knock out any pnemonia or infection, if she had that. They are unsure of what is really wrong, but because she has been coughing for a month, he said her muscles in her lungs are restricted and while the breathing treatments help, the muscles are so tight they constrict again and need some medicine to help them out. (I'm NOT an MD obviously :) )
It is awful to hear her coughing so much. She is so little to have such a bad cough. She is very happy though :) She has no problem taking the breathing treatments. She talks through it..it is cute.

Please pray that she will get better. Please also pray for us, that we would know what to do for her. Due to her rough start in life, I worry about her more than I ever did with Madelyn. If Madelyn was sick like this it wouldn't be nearly as scary for us to deal with :)
We will continue the treatment that they have given us through this weekend and if by Monday she isn't sounding better, they will do an X-ray of her chest.
